My name is Ley and I'm 19 years old. This blog is just a personal journal for my diet and exercise. You're welcome to message me if you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns. I have been raw for 3 months and still going strong. I love making recipes, but generally I try to keep it simple and still be able to enjoy it.

I seriously need to find out whats causing my acne. Now.

I started the raw food diet about 3 months ago. I stopped wearing make up except occasional eyeliner and mascara. I eat more leafy greens than anything else. I leave my face alone. I change my pillow case and sheets every week or so. I exercise everyday and if I’m lazy I at least walk or rebound while listening to music. I’ve used the sauna.

I still need to try out some things. I need to buy a dry skin brush and experiment with that. I really want to get a colonics and see if it improves anything, not only acne. Stop consuming large amounts of nuts/seeds. Stop consuming so much fruit. Sleep earlier and more.

So… Hopefully for the summer I’m going to be fit and acne free! That’s my plan. I’m loving my commitment this past 3 months, I’m proud of myself even if other people around me think I’m doing it all wrong. Do they know any better? No, not really… :)

I’ve no clue how to, or if you even can, comment on posts so I’m reblogging.

I’d suggest you eat cucumber and avocado, they’re both very good for your skin. Try washing your face several times throughout the day, if you’ve got acne it’s more than likely because you’ve got oily skin. I really don’t recommend not eating nuts, and seeds. Nuts and seeds provide the main source of protein needed in your diet (not to mention most are good sources of iron), WITH the greens and fruits you eat in the raw diet. Nuts and seeds make up for the rest of what the body needs. Hope this helps, and good luck. :)

I have been juicing cucumber, carrots, and celery daily and it has been helping me. I still need to be a little bit more patient and keep doing it until I see results. I am eating now about a handful of different nuts a day, but I had to cut down because I was eating way too much. I don’t eat much avocado because I don’t like it, but I have gotten used to the taste and today I even had a some guacamole my dad made. :P

Thanks so much for your response! I had major improvements with this diet, maybe its the detox thats causing more acne right now! :D
